Fishing company Sverrisutgerdin ehf in Ólafsvík recently took delivery of a new Cleopatra 33 boat.

Mr. Gísli Marteinsson will be the captain of the boat.

The new boat is called Glaður. The boat is 9.9 meters Loa.

The boat replaces an older Cleopatra 31 boat with the same name that has served the company faithfully since the end of 1999.

The boat’s main engine is a John Deere 6090 550hp coupled to a ZF286IV transmission.

The boat is equipped with Furuno/MaxSea navigation equipment.

The boat is also equipped with a hydraulically operated bow and sternthrusters connected to the boat’s autopilot via interface.

The boat will be equipped for netting, longlining and jigging. Jigging reels are supplied by DNG.

The boat’s hold can accommodate 8pcs 660 liter fish tubs.

Liferaft and other safety equipment is supplied by Viking-Life.

The boat is built to a high specification. Suspension seats in the bridge for the captain and crewman.  The forward cabin area has a fully equipped cooking facilities and sleeping space for two.

The boat has already started fishing.
