A new Cleopatra 40 boat was recently delivered to father and son William & Iain MacDonald in North Uist in the Western Isles of Scotland.
Iain “Paco” Macdonald is the skipper on the boat.
The boat has been named Two Daughters. Two Daughters is a Cleopatra 40. The working deck is half sheltered.
The main engine is an FPT C13 connected to a ZF 325IV gearbox. Nanni 9kW generator is fitted in the engine room.
Navigation equipment comes from Furuno / Simrad. The boat has a MaxSea plotter software fitted.
The boat is fitted with a hydraulically driven bow thruster connected to the boat’s autopilot.
Two Daughteres is fitted with a Seakeeper anti rolling gyro system. For extra comfort at sea.
Two Daughters is fitted for potting/creeling for Prawns, Langoustines and brown crab. She can easily haul 1000 pots per day using the Cleopatra style self hauling/self shooting system.
The fish hold is designed to hold standard fish boxes so it is easy to keep the catch alive on board.
The boat’s safety equipment is from Viking.
The accommodation has bunks for three – four people as well as cooking facilities with a stove, microwave and refrigerator.
The boat has already started fishing.
